On Beauty Academy

Ummmm....
Beauty Academy is a school that teches cosmetology, aka hair dressing this includes the basic of barbering, and typically also has either nail technology(manicures, pedicures, fake nails, tips, gels etc.), or aesthetics which is facials, waxing, minor massage, and skin treatment but not dermatology (the skin equivalent of hair dressing).

For starts imagine high school, then take out all of the guys. Think of it in terms of lots of little clicques and all of them think they are the "popular" group. Next imagine that much like in high school all of these girls seem to think everyone is out to get them(this is partly due to the fact that most of the girls are 17-19). Then add the typical high school rumor mill times 10. This is all combined with the fact that most of these people are not well educated, rude, and due to age rather self-centered. Everything really does revole only around them (in their universe). The finally touch is that these girls seem to think that they know what high class cultutred society is like, and typically beleive everything they see on tv. Keep in mind that most schools have a spattering of sane individuals. Also as a hairdresser you walk a very fine line with all of your clients, you are a proffessional that is usually expected to know pretty much everything about your client ( and with some I mean EVERYTHING), this is of course very hard for a mature individual to acheive especially as a student let alone a younger individual who is just moving out of their teens.

I just got my Driving License!!!!!!

I need money!

I happen to be living in a slightly neurotic(?) world right now. It is a combination of my own STUFF, and the ever interesting experience of being a beauty student. I knew that by entering a beauty academy I would be stepping into a world where I would have allot less in common with my fellow student then by going directly to a design college (aka sudo-intellectual). I had NO idea exactly how little in common I would have with these people. I am currently going to school with a campus that's majority is going to be the gum chewing hair dresser type. This combined with some interesting clientelle, leaves me with an amzing thirst for my diverse interests. And unfortunately an extremely lack of funds for the previously mentioned. I need MONEY!

On the bright side, I do get to laugh at fond memories of the affore mentioned clients, and at the looks I get when I start putting to use the new vocabulary and phrases I pick up from my favorite murder mystery series, written by Elizabeth Peters about a wonderful character by the name of Amelia Peabody Emerson (or Peabody for short). Everyday after school, lately, I have been retreating to the late victorian period to join my favorite female, feminist, quirky, highly intelligent, detective. If you have not read any of this series please do. It is well written, intelligent, and a great escape.
Post Script:
I also love animal, walking in places where I am ulikely to meet another human, and learning about almost anything. And I have a habit of learning new long, and somewhat hard to use words. lol!

Ok basic info:
I go to a beauty academy for cosmetologyy and intend to go back for easthetetics
I live in Keene NH
I am currently unemployed
I half live with my Mom and half with my boyfriend
I am 22 years old
I paint, draw, craft thinga-ma-bobs, I design clothes (not proffessionally) and rooms (ditto), I have gotten into photography a little but mainly in the point and click variety, I am a diver (but haven't gone diving in a couple of years), um I garden a little, and general try a little bit of everything
